This instrument is used to evaluate the snagging resistance of fabrics. The test specimen is sewn to cover a bean bag weighing 450 g ± 10 g, which is then placed in a rotating drum operating at a constant speed and subjected to the action of sharp pins. The method is suitable for both woven and knitted fabrics.
