EMPA Pilling Photo Standards

The EMPA Pilling Photo Standards are standard photographic references used to evaluate fabric pilling and fuzzing for both knitted and woven fabrics in accordance with EN ISO 12945-2.

The complete set includes 6 sets:

• 3 sets for woven fabrics
• 3 sets for knitted fabrics

Each standard set consists of a series of 4 comparable photographs, with each photograph representing the boundary between two grades: 4–5, 3–4, 2–3, and 1–2.
