AATCC 201 Drying Rate Tester – Heated Plate Method

The AATCC 201 Drying Rate Tester (Heated Plate Method) is used for research and development of quick-dry fabrics such as sportswear (football, running, gym), socks, footwear materials, and specialized military garments.

The instrument is designed to perform fully automatic testing. The heated plate is maintained at 37°C to simulate human body temperature. A pump system automatically applies a specified amount of water to the specimen in accordance with AATCC TM201. Airflow is controlled at an appropriate rate across the fabric surface.

An infrared temperature sensor continuously monitors the specimen temperature and transmits data to the control software. The software records and determines the point at which the specimen is completely dry, and analyzes the test results. Test reports can be exported in PDF or Excel format.
